Wild Koala Day – Wednesday 3rd May 2017

One of Australia’s most iconic and loved native animals is a wild resident of the Gympie region.

Wednesday May 3 is Wild Koala Day, and to celebrate Gympie’s Koala Action Group is asking people to share their photos and experiences of koalas in our region, whether recently, or in the ‘old days’.

We will share these photos and stories with the community through the Gympie Times, and through our web page  and on Facebook.

Make sure the photos are of a large file size and send to koalas@mrccc.org.au

We would love to feature koalas from all  parts of the region.

Wild Koala Day is a day to celebrate our koalas, and also to think about how we can preserve this precious species in the wild.

Planting some koala food trees is a great start!

For more information visit Koala Action Group Gympie region on  Facebook, visit us at the Gympie Garden Expo on the 6th and 7th May or call the Coordinator, Michelle Daly on 5483 5242.
