Congratulations to the winners of the annual Spring in the Mary Photo competition, and thank you to all those who submitted entries. The competition attracted a range of images highlighting the diversity and beauty of the Mary River Catchment, which stretches from the headwaters around Conondale through to River Heads at Hervey Bay. Throughout ‘Mary River Month’ the Spring in the Mary photo competition has inspired the wider community to focus their attention on the value of our creeks and rivers, flora, fauna and rural landscapes and to capture a number of images for everyone to enjoy.

This year the competition’s major sponsor, Murray Views in Gympie have kindly offered for the winning entries to be reproduced into special edition postcards (with full acknowledgement to the photographers) which they will donate to the MRCCC to raise funds for a conservation project such as Mary River turtle nest protection.
