2019 Mary River Festival – Saturday 9th November 2019

The MRCCC is delighted to be involved with this year’s Mary River Festival, at Kandanga on Saturday 9th November 2019.

The Save the Mary River Coordinating Group continues to be active in protecting and educating about the Mary River.  They have celebrated annually with the Mary River Festival on the second Saturday of November at Kandanga and this will be the Festival’s 10 year anniversary, celebrating 10 years since former Federal Environment Minister, Peter Garrett said “no” to Traveston Crossing Dam.

This year’s Festival offers something for all age groups including some fantastic music from the Barleyshakes, free Cat’s Claw Weaving with the experts, Geckoes Wildlife, Speaker Tent, the evening lantern parade and laser show and a whole range of food vendors catering to all tastes and diets.

Entry is just $5 for adults and $2 for those 16 years and under.
