Lake Macdonald Catch and Release Bass Fishing Competition

The Lake Macdonald catch and release bass fishing competition will be held on Sunday 26th June 2016 from 6.30 am until midday, at Mary River Cod Park, Collwood Rd, Cooroy.  The competition coincides with the Noosa Festival of Water, which takes place on the same day at the Noosa Botanic Gardens and the Lake Macdonald Amphitheatre from 10 am until 3 pm.

Entries for fishing in a kayak, from the bank, even on a stand up paddle board are now open. There are also a limited number of entries for boats with electric motors. Entry costs $20 for adults and $10 for juniors 17 years and under.

Hooked on Angling and Outdoors Tewantin have some fantastic prizes on offer.  Winners will be announced in the Lake Macdonald Amphitheatre at the Noosa Festival of Water.

All funds raised will contribute to the breeding program for the endangered Mary River cod at the Gerry Cook Hatchery.
