Spring in the Mary – Photography competition

Saturday’s Mary River Festival was intended as the place for the winners of the MRCCC’s inaugural Spring in the Mary photo competition to be announced.  The weather, unfortunately, had other ideas and everyone was sent packing by about 4 pm, when the rain and wind took over.  The Festival did de-camp to the Kandanga Hotel where the mood remained buoyant, and the remaining Festival patrons were treated to some top entertainment.

Prior to the Festival however, photographers young and old were out and about the Mary River Catchment photographing a variety of images to enter into the competition. In all, 74 photos were submitted, demonstrating a high level of interest and some exceptional photography. The standard of entries was incredibly high, giving Judges Bob Simpson and Ian Mackay a very difficult task in selecting the top images.  Click on the link to view the Spring in the Mary Competition Winners 2015
